Sodium sulfate, also known as Glauber’s salt, is an inorganic chemical compound obtained by the reaction of sulfuric acid with sodium carbonate. It is a white crystalline powder, highly soluble in water. It is widely used in the chemical industry, primarily as a raw material for the production of soaps, dyes, glass, and also as a decongestant in medicine. Additionally, sodium sulfate is used in water treatment processes and as a component of some detergents and cleaning agents.
